Granduer Peak lies between Parley's Canyon on the North and Millcreek Canyon on the South.  It has great views of the northern half of the Salt Lake Valley.  To get to the trail head up Millcreek Canyon for 3.2 miles to the Church Fork Picnic Area on the north side of the road.  Parking can be crowded at the trailhead, so you'll probably have to park on the main road and hike up through the picnic area.  If you plan on watching the sunset from the peak, you'll want to park on the road because the gate to the picnic area is locked after 10pm.

The trail follows the Church fork stream for about a mile through the forest.  It then vears west and starts up some switch backs to a saddle at the top of the Millcreek ridge.  The trail from the saddle heads west towards the peak, about 1/2 mile away.  To help prevent erosion, a newer section of trail cuts around to the south and west sides of the peak instead of heading straight up to the top.
