The Millcreek Canyon trail starts where the road closes for the winter 7 miles up the Canyon.  The lower part of the trail gets pretty icy and beat up from Hikers, Dogs, and Snowshoers, but once you get above the Elbow, about 1.5 miles up the road the snow is usually great to ski on.

The forest service generally grooms the trail before the weekends and just after depending on weather conditions.  Both classic and skate tracks are set.

There are a few areas that get pretty steep and icy, but the canyon is a great place to get away from the city and ski.

There is a $3 fee to get out of the canyon when you are done skiing.  Or you can buy a $40 annual pass.
